A well-defined body of work is a testament to one’s craft. My approach to this has always been simple - shoot one location well. It is better to shoot one location well than many locations averagely. To create meaningful photographs, you must learn your subject. Spend time with it. See it under varying conditions and seasons. Take the time to identify what inspires you about it. Living by this philosophy, I have resolved to focus my work in the Western Great Lakes. The locations outlined below are the areas I have found inspiring. These areas resonate with me and draw me to them. Locations that I enjoy simply being present in.

I will compile these collections into coffee table books available for purchase in time. Each book will feature the stories, adventures, and photographs that made these experiences so special to me. There is no definitive release date. This is an ongoing labor of love. When I feel as though I have done an area justice, the book for the respected area will become available.
